MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

WTA Rankings Report – As of Nov. 17, 2025

(Witters - Hamburg European Open)

It’s quiet at the top of tennis, with only three top-20 players – Iga Swiatek, Linda Noskova and Victoria Mboko – competing in Billie Jean King Cup playoffs.

Those don’t have ranking points, so they’re not pertinent for our purposes here.

The only other top-50 players in action were Maya Joint (No. 32) and Eva Lys (No. 40).

And there aren’t any changes in the top 100. So a short report this week.

(Swan, a former top junior who has run into injury problems and, at 26, is still trying to get back to the higher levels, wins the ITF in Brisbane and gets back into the top 300. Her career high of No. 118 came in Oct. 2022, and as a junior she got to No. 2 in the rankings – almost 10 years ago – and was the finalist at the Austalian Open juniors in 2015).

She’s had a lot of points to defend, including a run from the qualifying to the semis in Osaka, and a final at an ITF a year ago last week. She has 100 more points coming off next week from a title at a $100K event in Takasaki. Ito was at her career high of No. 82 before the US Open.

Ito became sort of a cult hero during the North American summer, but hasn’t played since.

Destanee Aiava (AUS): No. 212 ===========> No. 236
(Aiava makes the quarters of a tournament in Brisbane, but drops points because she won it a year ago).
