MELBOURNE, Australia – The final semifinalists were determined on Wednesday.
And it goes with the theme of this Australian Open – low on drama – that all of the players were top-eight seeds.
And all of them are where they should have been on paper – on both the men’s and women’s sides.
That’s “sort of” what you should want. But you sort of hope for more drama on the road to get there.
The women went first, because they play their semifinals Thursday night.
But zero drama – unless you count Musetti’s sudden retirement.
(Melbourne is 16 hours ahead of ET)
