Quevedo, who is 20, has no bio on the WTA website. But she hit No. 5 in the ITF junior rankings less than two years ago, beating a lot of the high-profile players like Samson, Kovackova, Klugman and Jamrichova. She’s Florida born and raised, but traded the US flag for a Spanish one in 2024 because her father hails from the Canary Islands. She has already been able to play BJK Cup for Spain, and hit a career high of No. 127 on the WTA Tour just a couple of weeks ago. A year ago, she was at No. 267 and two years ago, No. 589.
