The field probably wasn’t up to the level of what you want for a 500. But in the end, the late-addition No. 1 seed, Mirra Andreeva, was up against a brand-new Austrian, Anastasia Potapova.
Potapova has had better days – currently ranked No. 97, she was at No. 21 just three years ago. But she can play.
Andreeva led the head-to-head 2-1, with Potapova’s only win at the short-lived WTA event in Monastir in 2022.
And while Potapova started on fire, Andreeva found solutions to take the title.
