Trainer Byrnes back with Bouchard

It has been more than three years since Genie Bouchard had a stable team around her. You have to go back to her golden year in 2014: coach Nick Saviano, trainer Scott Byrnes and hitting partner Tom Burn.

But while her coaching situation remains improvised, a blast from that successful past is back on board as Byrnes has returned.

The affable Aussie was part of Team Madison Keys for nearly two years, until last year’s French Open.

Byrnes hasn’t been around the Tour much since then. He was at the US Open with Team Ostapenko.
