Back to back star power in Transylvania Thursday.
No. 3 seed Emma Raducanu led off and top seed Simona Halep took the tag as the second round concluded in Cluj-Napoca.
And THEN, not to be outdone, No. 2 seed Anett Kontaveit continued her quest for the Tour Finals.

Why o why are you sooooo far behind the bus with your results ??
Ms Radacnu is trounced this morning and now at lunchtime, there is not a peep.
Where are all the gushing pronouns for the Billion Dollar Brit ??? …and maybe some brow raising quotes about coaches demanding too much money to handle her; ‘she will coach herself’ , and ‘we need to be patient with her now’.
Is there an admission that the press and WTA went way overboard with their new-found answer to sliced bread. I felt (and still do) sorry for the poor lass. God help her.

Huh?
I don’t know who you’re referring to. But there’s no chance you’re referring to … me.
It’s possible you’ve never read any of the many things I’ve written about how counterproductive and idiotic all the overhype of the next shiny new penny is – especially for the young women.
And how I refuse to buy into that easy narrative.
So perhaps take your repartee somewhere where it’s needed.
