When the site hosts the 2019 “new” Davis Cup finals, the courts will be stripped of their red clay and turned into … hard courts.
In a story by the Spanish-language EFE wire service, Kosmos Tennis co-founder Edmund Chu said “it’s important for the players at that moment of the season. We want the players to be on a surface that is practical for them.”
Chu added that Kosmos had “no intention” of changing the surface for future editions.
