MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

Tough times for Marco Trungelliti

Argentina’s Marco Trungelliti, who blew the whistle on a match-fixing scheme in his homeland that led directly to suspensions for three countrymen, doesn’t regret it.

But he’s struggling.

“They just used me. They just dropped me in the middle of the sea, Trungelliti told the AP of how the authorities never had his back. “I’m still paying the price.”

Trungelliti pulled out before his final qualifying match in Monte Carlo, with a reoccurrence of back woes.

He’ll head to Paris with more attention on him than the typical qualifier, after his lucky loser odyssey a year ago.
