Pospisil prepares for ’14 (pics)

Open Court caught up with Vasek Pospisil Monday at the IMG Academies – popularly known as Bollettieri’s – in Bradenton, Fla.

Pospisil was playing practice games with Wu Di, a Chinese player who has a wild card for the upcoming Australian Open after winning the tournament’s Asia-Pacific playoff.

Wu Di seemed like an extremely cheerful, happy fellow. He also listened intently whenever his coach said anything at all to him.

Pospisil had planned to play 3-4 sets, but he had a knee niggle, which he attributed to a pretty punishing VO2Max session earlier in the day, and coach Frédéric Fontang didn’t want him to push it.

So they played not much more than a set and a bit
