Canada in deep doo-doo after dropping Davis Cup dubs

The favorites on paper, the pickup team of Daniel Nestor and Frank Dancevic were upstaged, and upset, by the underdog Japanese in the key doubles rubber Saturday in Tokyo.

Kei Nishikori, a last-minute but not surprising addition, and 21-year-old partner Yasutaka Uchiyama beat the Canadians 6-3, 7-6 (2), 4-6, 6-4 to give Japan a 2-1 lead in the World Group first-round tie.
