As recently as two weeks ago, Sumyk was on court at the Australian Open with his longtime charge, Victoria Azarenka.
Sumyk already knows Bouchard’s conditioning coach, Scott Byrnes (who used to work with Azarenka, and Zvonareva). So obviously he’ll fit in seamlessly.
And he has other handy skills as well.
But there might not be too much of this in the near future.
