INDIAN WELLS – It was the first match of 2015 for Vasek Pospisil and Jack Sock, the reigning Wimbledon champs.
And they entertained a packed house on Stadium 5 against Feliciano Lopez and Sam Groth.
Four big dudes, with big serves. The first set of this one was perhaps the most entertaining set of doubles we’ve ever seen live. Seriously, ever.
Not the best set of tennis, necessarily. But the most fun. The crowd absolutely loved every second of it, and the large Canadian contingent down here, of course, made it almost a home court for Pospisil.
They were enjoying it, too. Of course, it’s even more entertaining when you’re winning.
That Sock, who is playing in his first tournament of the season after undergoing hip surgery last fall, still had all that energy left after playing a tough three-setter in singles is a tribute to his youth and … Sockitude.
