WIMBLEDON – Who knew, when Dustin Brown was out playing a marathon five-set match Wednesday, that a day later he’d be the toast of Wimbledon?
Brown and pal Andreas Haider-Maurer of Austria lost a tough one, 7-6(3) 4-6 6-4 3-6 10-8 to American Nicholas Monroe and Kiwi Artem Sitak on Court 4, which is in the shadows of Centre Court.
A day later, he was on the big stage, performing accordingly.
