INDIAN WELLS – Vasek Pospisil posted two solid match wins in qualifying to reach the main draw at the BNP Paribas Open.
But as his back stiffened up midway through the third set, he definitely had some slight concerns about the state of his health going into a first-round main draw match against Yen-Hsun Lu of Taipei Thursday.
Pospisil defeated American Rajeev Ram 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 Wednesday, and was hoping for a day off before his next match. It wasn’t to be; he’s playing Thursday although by the time he gets on court, it’s likely to be evening.
