Summer Wedding III: Yanina Wickmayer

To round out the trio of happy post-Wimbledon occasions on the WTA Tour, we have Belgium’s Yanina Wickmayer and new husband Jérôme Van der Zijl, a former soccer player

Wickmayer and Van der Zijl were wed a week ago, during Wimbledon weekend.

A year ago, there were also a few WTA weddings.

Remember all the chat about Dominika Cibulkova, whose wedding was scheduled for the day of the ladies’ singles final but was making a great run at Wimbledon? (She lost in the quarterfinals).

Ana Ivanovic and Bastian Schweinsteiger also wed.
