It’s been a tough go for Poland’s Jerzy Janowicz, the volatile former world No. 14 who has been struggling with injuries for two years.
The 26-year-old stood at No. 280 at the beginning of 2017, but has cut that in half.
And he can still laugh at himself.
Asked about his fastest serve ever, Janowicz said he thought it was 156 mph (251 km/hr).
“It was when I was young and pretty, Now I’m getting bald, and getting old, and limping a little bit,” Janowicz said, laughing, after winning his first-round match in Stockholm Wednesday.
