Americans Eubanks, Thomas turn pro

Christopher Eubanks, the 6-foot-7, 180-pounder (!!) from Georgia Tech, is passing up his senior season and turning pro.

Outside the top 600 in June, Eubanks’s ATP ranking is at a career-high No. 309.

Another American, Danny Thomas, also has turned pro. He signed with Lagardère Sports.

Thomas, 18 next month, peaked at No. 19 in the ITF rankings after reaching the quarters of the boys’ singles at the US Open. He lost in the second round at Wimbledon and the French Open. This was Thomas’s first year ranked high enough to play the junior Slams.

His ATP ranking is 1150.
