For Paris Master tournament director Guy Forget, the bad news came right after Roger Federer won Basel.
“As he left the court he was apparently affected physically. His back is sore –everything is sore. You can imagine my disappointment, my frustration. His agent was on the phone saying he was at the end of his rope, and needed to recuperate,” Forget told the media in Paris.
Forget was disappointed for the fans; Federer hasn’t seen Paris in two years.
“He skipped Roland Garros because he trained four hours a day, preparing for the grass,” Forget said.
