NY Open chooses Laver Cup black

The New York Open, which which will be played for the first time on Long Island after a move from the tournament’s longtime home in Memphis, is taking a cue from the Laver Cup.

The event is teasing the building of its courts on its website. And in the second installment, the paint has been applied to one of the auxiliary courts.

They’ve chosen to go with black.

It worked beautifully in Prague, making for a striking visual that set the event apart from the regular Tour events. You wonder if they copyrighted it.
