Brazilian lefty Thomaz Bellucci, who was announced – well after the fact – to have tested positive for a diuretic and was given a five-month suspension, is back.
The suspension ended Jan. 31, so Bellucci returns for the South American clay-court season. His ranking, No. 76 when it began, stands at No. 108.
In his first match back, at the Ecuador Open in Quito, he will face a familiar opponent.
This will be the fourth consecutive year Bellucci meets Victor Estrella Burgos in Quito.
The first three times, the veteran Dominican won the whole thing.
