Dick Norman, who had a long career as a doubles specialist, is the latest former player to hit the executive suite.
The 6-foot-8 Belgian lefty, nicknamed “Big Dick”, was named the new tournament director of the October ATP event in Antwerp, the European Open.
He’ll work with his wife, Ilse Van Parys. She’ll be the event director.
Now 47, Norman played singles until he was 39, and doubles three more years after that . He reached No. 10 in doubles, with four titles. (No. 85 in singles).
The tournament is part-owned by former French player Sébastian Grosjean.
