After many years as one of the biggest talent representation agencies in tennis, it appears the French company Lagardère is heading in a completely different direction.
At the company’s AGM in France Thursday, Arnaud Lagardère said he intends to focus the company on two main businesses going forward: publishing, and “travel retail”.
Per the French newspaper Le Monde, Lagardère said the company wouldn’t be “shrunk”, but its assets would be redeployed.
Lagardère is active in media rights marketing, event management (including the WTA Finals) and player representation, including Caroline Wozniacki and Richard Gasquet.
