Canadian Rebecca Marino, who’s on the comeback trail after a five-year break, bagged another trophy last weekend.
The 27-year-old won the $25,000 women’s ITF event in Winnipeg, Canada Sunday, defeating No. 2 seed Julia Glushko in the final.
Marino’s third series of return tournaments was cut short by a shoulder injury in late May, during her first event on the Florida Har-Tru circuit.
After six weeks, she returned to victory.
When the result is added, she’ll move up nearly 100 spots to about No. 328.
She has two more Canadian ITFs in Quebec the next two weeks.
