A new documentary from French-language Canadian national network Radio-Canada tells the story of the family of the No. 1 seed in the girls’ singles at this year’s French Open.
Leylah Annie Fernandez, now 16, was the girls’ singles finalist at the Australian Open in January.
And a year ago, in her first Slam-level junior event, she lost to eventual champion Coco Gauff in the French Open junior semis.
Sister Bianca Jolie, 15 last February, has already begun playing low-level ITF pro events.
For the family, it’s both a challenge and an adventure. They tell their story in this documentary.
