Episode No. 7 of the Tennis United online show hosted by American Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Canadian Vasek Pospisil took on a distinctly Canadian flavour.
The highlight was a gathering of nearly all of the most recent Canadian success stories: Bianca Andreescu, Milos Raonic, Félix Auger-Aliassime and Genie Bouchard.
They sort of had a Canadian Brady Bunch thing going on.
Only Denis Shapovalov was missing to complete the set.
As well, Pospisil had a chin wag with a couple more Canadians – greats in other sports: Steve Nash and Wayne Gretzky.
Also in the show, Mattek-Sands talks to new (lefty) golfer Gaby Dabrowski.
This one will be a tough act to follow.
But you hope that when tennis returns, they’ll keep this feature up.
I have really enjoyed all the episodes of Tennis United, especially this one, of course, because of all the Canadian content. I will miss it once the tours start up again.
Hopefully they’ll keep it going.
