Serena Williams got past a major test Saturday in the third round, as she recovered from a first-set loss to countrywoman Sloane Stephens to roll through the next two sets of a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory.
Her fourth-round opponent will be No. 15 seed Maria Sakkari of Greece.
