Moroccan sweep nets six for alleged match-fixing

The ITIA (the International Tennis Integrity Agency) announced on Wednesday provisional suspensions for no fewer than six Moroccan players.

The six are suspended, pending an inquiry into match-fixing allegations.

In the meantime, they are prohibited from competing in or attending any sanctioned tennis events.

What’s a bit of a shock is how young nearly all of them are.

Ahouda has played Davis Cup on several occasions, posting an 8-6 record.

And Kilani, while he didn’t leave North Africa that often, had a sterling record in the juniors.

He’s currently listed as a sophomore on the Tyler Junior College tennis team.
