Rebecca Marino dropped out of the singles Wednesday at the hands of No. 2 seed Lauren Davis.

But her doubles match was postponed to today, so she’s still alive, and through to the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Caledon, Ont.’s Erin Routliffe, who represents New Zealand, won her first WTA Tour title in Palermo on Sunday and had to fly all the way to South Carolina for the follow-up.

Luckily for her, an incomplete draw meant a first-round bye for the No. 1 seeds, and she only had to begin play today. She also got through.
