Leylah Fernandez was back at it in doubles with Erin Routliffe, after another massive win in singles. They battled hard, but ultimately fell to Romanians Niculescu and Ruse.

They were followed on the court by Gaby Dabrowski, who pulled out a victory with partner Luisa Stefani.

And in other Canadian content, junior Annabelle Xu was up in singles and doubles – and won both.
