After lots of practice etc. (notably with Marin Cilic and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina), No. 1 seed Félix Auger-Aliassime finally took the court Thursday in Estoril.

He played solid Spanish clay-courter Carlos Taberner, a lucky loser who took care of Lloyd Harris in the first round. It began … terribly. But in the end, Auger-Aliassime reset and won the second and third sets to advance.
