The schedule for Monday was in some disarray until they finished the rain-delayed qualifying Sunday and placed those players into the draw.

But they did get it done, in the end.

Denis Shapovalov faced Grigor Dimitrov as the late-night match on the Grand Stand court, trying to get some form before the US Open. And he got a well-deserved, much-needed straight-sets win.
