MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

2022 US Open – Day 12 Singles final results

FLUSHING MEADOWS, NY – The action began in late afternoon with the first men’s singles semifinal set for 3 p.m.

And Casper Ruud was impressive in dispatching Karen Khachanov in four sets.

You can speculate all you want about what this match might have been, had Nick Kyrgios edged out Khachanov instead of the other way around. But we’ll never know..

In the night session, a highly awaited matchup featuring the hopefully rested Carlos Alcaraz and American Frances Tiafoe.

He was rested enough to win another five-setter, and Frances Tiafoe showed that his game and his mind have jumped a level or five in this revelatory US Open.

On Sunday, Alcaraz and Ruud will play for the US Open title. The winner also will be the new No. 1.
