After a Davis Cup week filled with Challengers, the ATP returns. And again, in improvised fashion.
The Moselle Open, indoors on hard court, returns in its usual slot. But where there was an ATP event in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan a year ago, there is a 250 in San Diego, Calif. in that slot this year.
A year ago, the pop-up San Diego event came a week before the rescheduled Indian Wells tournament.
As with the WTA, China is not holding tournaments this fall. So the men’s tour also is scrambling for venues and even finds itself in Israel, soon.
