Félix Auger-Aliassime was first up on the singles side, facing a not-particularly-in-form Casper Ruud in his ATP Tour finals debut.

The Norwegian had his way with the local hero in the quarterfinals in Montreal in August, giving up just three games. But look at where Auger-Aliassime has taken his career since then.

But the result was not in the Canadian’s favour, as he came out tight – and never shook it.
