The final day of prelims before the weekend finale in Sydney has the teams playing all five matches in one day, instead of over two days.

So … that’s a twist.

They’re called “City Finals” or some such.

There are going to be some sore butts on the benches when it’s all said and done.

Greece, the US and Poland (none of them a surprise, as they had among the best balance between the men and women) are in, with Italy (skewed heavily to the ATP side) making up the fourth team in Friday’s semifinals.
