From Perth, Brisbane and Sydney, all of the remaining United Cup teams are in Sydney over the weekend to play the semis and finals of the inaugural mixed event.
Surviving are the U.S., Poland and Greece – with Italy the “lucky loser” from the “city finals” that makes up the fourth member of the final four.
In the semis, it’ll be the USA vs. Poland, and Greece vs. Italy.
It’s the same format as the earlier round-robins, with just two matches in each semifinal going on the Friday.
All but one of the four matchups look like … mismatches. But you never know.
