MELBOURNE, Australia – There were lot of potentially intriguing matches on Wednesday – including the usually unflappable Diego Schwartzman vs the eager-to-flap Jenson Brooksby.

Well, in the end it wasn’t so intriguing. Schwartzman retired after losing the first set 6-1. He also pulled out of the United Cup, leaving Argentina bereft. So it looks safe to say that he hasn’t arrived Down Under healthy.

In Adelaide, possibly the best matchup of the day was down on Court 3, with young Jack Draper taking on still-young-but-not-AS-young Tommy Paul, the No. 8 seed.

Rublev vs Kokkinakis as a night match in Adelaide is also a good one to look out for. And Kokkinakis pulled off the upset.

Adelaide is 15 1/2 hours ahead of Eastern time and Auckland is 18 hours ahead.
