The WTA’s top two hit the Indian Wells practice courts (vid)

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – The only thing that would have been better would have been if they were practicing together.

(But that’s not really a thing that happens in tennis too often).

But with world No. 1 Iga Swiatek on one practice court and No. 2 and Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka right next door, there was plenty for the fans on hand at the BNP Paribas Open to sink their teeth into.

Swiatek was hitting with Maria Sakkari in a reprise of last year’s women’s singles final.

Sabalenka was practicing with Beatriz Haddad Maia, who is not there yet for a bit of a lack of consistency but has all the tools.

Here’s what it looked like.

The fans were enjoying it quite a bit, safe to say.

Sabalenka showed off a pretty nifty, matchy-matchy outfit.

Later in the day, for her second practice, she showed off another one.
