Daniel Altmaier and Max Purcell had to finish their first-round match (they’re at 4-3 in the third set). And the winner had to play No. 8 seed Tomas Etcheverry in the second round.
And then, the winner of THAT was scheduled to play either Cristian Garin or Zizou Bergs.
Only the first one ended up happening.
(Purcell also had a quarterfinal doubles match to try to fit in there, which obviously won’t happen if he goes triple on the singles).
