PARIS – The Sunday start at Roland Garros – a schedule not found at the other majors – comes on you rather quickly.

The qualifying just finished on Friday. Kid’s Day was Saturday (and it was chaotic). And then you jump right into the first round of the main draw on Sunday.

It’s not all the matches – there are 40 in all, evenly split between the men and women. So with 32 total matches in the top half of the men’s draw, the other 12 will be played Monday along with some from the bottom half.

Still, there was Rublev, and Khachanov, and Tsitsipas – and a lot of French content.
