An incomplete first-round match featuring Rebecca Marino, who had a head of steam up in the second set before play was called for darkness Wednesday. She did come back and take the second set, and was up an early break in the third, but in the end bowed out.

And a first-round match that finally got on court, with Bianca Andreescu. She, too, had her challenges but in the end pulled it out.
