INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – Other than the women’s singles semis, which set up nicely, there isn’t much on the schedule for Friday in the desert.

The mens’ doubles final went earlier, and went to the unseeded team of Koolhof and Mektic.

As for the women: Swiatek rolled against a Kostyuk who sort of reached the end of her road with this one.

And Sakkari v Gauff was a roller-coaster of emotions and (at times) great tennis, won by the Greek veteran in what could surely be a huge boost to her sometimes shaky confidence.
