IW Practice: Raonic v Musetti

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – Who knew, when Milos Raonic and Lorenzo Musetti (attention: partial nudity alert) practiced together before their matches at the BNP Paribas Open, that so much would happen, so quickly?

Raonic was to play Rafael Nadal in the first round; at this point, he didn’t know that wasn’t going to happen.

Back home, Musetti’s partner was about to give birth to his first child.

Here’s what it looked like.

Fast forward a few days and after beating lucky loser Sumit Nagal basically on one leg, Raonic withdrew from the tournament with a calf strain he suffered during that match.

And Musetti, who lost early, flew back home and welcomed his baby son into the world.

He then quickly flew back to the U.S., and will play in the Miami Open.
