ATP Madrid – Friday, May 3, 2024 final results

While Félix Auger-Aliassime benefited from a couple of days off, watching his eventual semifinal opponent battle through on Thursday night, the Madrid men are finally down to the semifinals.

Auger-Aliassime hadn’t played since he defeated Casper Ruud on Tuesday night.

And in the end, he hardly had to play at all as Jiri Lehecka, who benefited from a retirement by Daniil Medvedev in the quarters, returns the favour to Auger-Aliassime at 3-3 in the first set of their semi.

And so, without further ado, the Canadian is into his first ATP 1000 final.

(Madrid is 6 hours ahead of EDT)
