Finally, the top four seeds in Berlin got to playing – Sabalenka, Rybakina, Gauff and Pegula.

It must have felt like a long week for them. But they all got through.

At the same time, though, there was a doubles match that’s been hanging for a few days because of the rain, that involves four players who are in action in singles today.

So that one was later – and with Gauff and Pegula down 4-6, 0-5, didn’t take long to wrap up.
