It should be mentioned that with Sinner’s better half, Anna Kalinskaya, also in a final (in Berlin), it was potentially another “tennis power couple” double victory to go along with the two posted by Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur this season. Unfortunately not to be for Kalinskaya, who had her chances.

In Eastbourne, a bit more carnage. Which didn’t make the finals matchup between Tommy Paul and Lorenzo Musetti any less attractive. In the end, the American prevailed.
