But neither Félix Auger-Aliassime not Alejandro Tabilo was able to finish, as rain delays earlier in the day meant they ran out of light.

The suspense was whether or not Andy Murray takes Centre Court. He was to make the call Monday night. He decided to sleep on it. And then he made the call most expected – he’s out of the singles, with lucky loser David Goffin stepping in.

And, as crazy as it is, there was no question mark about Novak Djokovic taking to Centre Court, just three weeks after knee surgery. An impressive and motivated recovery.

And he looked just fine against qualifier Vit Kopriva.
