MONTREAL – Who knew, just a few days later, that Stefanos Tsitsipas and father Apostolos would part ways as coach and player (though not as father and son, mercifully).
There didn’t seem to be anything out of the ordinary going on during this practice set against France’s Arthur Fils.
A little mumbling, a little grumbling – but nothing out of the ordinary for most players the day before they begin a top-level tournament like the Omnium Banque Nationale.

The clan, which includes brother Petros, will now be off to Cincinnati where Tsitsipas will be coachless, dad will still be along and … they’ll start all over again.
