A slightly smaller crew this week, although there are a ton of women at a $25K in Saskatoon – basically most of the ones who weren’t ranked high enough to get into the US Open qualifying. 

But for those who are, it’s a pretty key week as they try to get to the big show.

Meanwhile, Leylah Fernandez was entered in the Cleveland draw in singles. And, with her sister Bianca – the two made the semis at the National Bank Open last week – in the doubles. It was one and done on both counts.

But on the big plus side – a number of titles grabbed by Canuckians: Can-American Carson Branstine jumps into the top 300 with a singles title in Serbia, Cleeve Harper wins a doubles title in Spain, Mia Kupres and Ariana Arseneault win their second title in Saskatoon.

And a Canadian champion was guaranteed in the Saskatoon singles as Kupres and Kayla Cross made the final, with Cross coming out the winner.
