The four events on the WTA Tour this week – the 500 in Charleston, the 250 in Bogotá (weather permitting) and the 125s in Spain and Turkey get to the semifinal stage on Saturday.
There are no WTA events next week because of BJK Cup.
The Turkey event has it two singles semis and the doubles all starting at 10:30 a.m., to be played concurrently on three different courts.
The weather there has been a challenge, as it has many places this week. The forecast is okay early. But after noon or so it’s basically rain and thunderstorms the rest of the day.
It doesn’t look particularly great on Sunday, either. But given it’s clay they should be able to squeeze one match in
(Charleston is on EDT; Bogotá is an hour behind, La Bisbal is six hours ahead and Antalya is seven hours ahead).

I guess you’re right. She sure had a tough year, and I was surprised she made it back, once I’d heard. I wish her all the best.
I mean, people have come back from much worse. Not to minimize it at all.
But I imagine there are one-year checkups involved and such.
Is Gabi Dabrowski injured? I don’t see her name on BJK roster, and Erin’s playing with someone else this week.
Thanks Steph!
I don’t think so. Remember what happened to her a year ago at this time. I’m just guessing but I suspect there are things that need to be done.
